Message: TFSA info

I called my broker today (TD) and they siad that I definitely can do the transfer to my wife's TFSA easily, as we have a joint trading account. BUT, if you don't have a joint account, then a special third party form must be completed. In the case of husband & wife, usually a rubber stamped process. If it's more complicated (ex-wife, living apart, etc.), then there is a longer process and certain cases are refused.

And open your TFSA account at a branch. Opening it online involves more time to send forms back & forth, etc. That's what they tell me anyways.
