Thanks Lawnbowler. That is the missive I alluded to earlier, and couldn't remember in detail. It is telling me, that a lot of people after removing profits, were returning them into the TFSA at some point, and had exceeded the yearly 5,000. allowed. They do not like this. Looks like, you can take any amount of profit you like, can leave it and continue to build in your taxfree account if you like, but once profit is dispersed elsewhere, you can only put 5,000. in the next year. Only if you miss a year or years, can you add in the amount missed in any year or number of years.
And I am sure all of Canada is confused, if they try to unravel this. Even, lawyers, accountants, and the Ministry of whatever.
