Nope, I do not see a precedent here. Without an NI-43-101 or any finds of possible significance other than the chromatite (which we know that the world seemed to ignore completely until two months ago!) Freewest was naked and alone in the wilderness, an obvious target for a predator. Cliffs was the first wolf out of the woods.

Noront is a different story. With two NI 43-101's under it's corporate belt, significant nickle, platinum, copper and chromatite (did I mention gold yet?) as well as a history (albeit brief) of having run to over $7.00 just on the initial nickle and PGE hole, Noront is stronger, larger, and far more ready to defend against the kind of predatory actions of a Cliffs.

Freewest, notwithstanding all the recent hype, is not in the same snack bracket as Noront. Not yet anyways. Although I wish every shareholder in the Ring great success, I do not see a comparison to be made between these two companies. I never have.

I have spooken of a ticket to the Ring. Freewest presented an easy (or so Cliffs thought - Cliffs may well be wrong about that) takeover target that would give Cliffs a cheap admission to the party and a nice presence in the Ring.

At the end of the day, Noront, and not Freewest, forced Cliffs to admit it was in the game, and further forced Cliffs to reveal its cards.

With the proven resources, and a business savy BoD. not to mention a huge land holding and working relationship with our First nations, I assess Noront as still being the biggest dog in the yard, and still very much in a position of dominance in the Ring.
