Why would you need an ignore button. It doesn't stop others from posting. It just removes their post from your view. It will not stop the nattering from those whose nature it is to do so. The main advantage is that it filters your list of what to read, as for the rest it's up to your own discipline simply to ignore it. I'm not saying the ignore button isn't a good idea, just that your reason for the request demonstrates something within yourself that you need to deal with. Meant with the best of intentions.
