No, we don't have the power. I rarely find that I'm in a position to delete posts. Most of them come from people with positions that I can't touch so you need to be clear on just what is possible first.

Yes we have developed some similar traits as the SH board? Can we do something about it? Not as much as you'd likely be happy with. Can you get politicians to stop lying, people from running red lights, etc. etc.. You can't stop human nature from doing what it does though I appreciate your sentiments.

Well my comrad, It would seem that you are part of the problem. The best way to affect the removal of the unecessary is to not participate in it. You seem to have missed the part you play in this.

No one needs to feel like they have to defend their position on a site that means diddly in the light of eternity. You may choose to clarify something for the benefit of others but most of what is going on has more to do with misplaced emotional energy...dare I say ego. I've seen more fuel thrown on the fire than water. Most of the headaches would disappear if one simply didn't respond to them... but then that wouldn't be human nature. Stand outside the herd on the high ground folks and you'll have a better sense of where it's going. So many are so emotionally involved they would be ashamed to read their posts down the road after gaining some perspective. Having said that, people are just doing what is human, falling off the tracks of their own personal evolution.... but that's part of the lesson.
