CBC Radio Thunder Bay this morning done an interview with a spokesperson for a group called Ontario Nature. They are concerned about 2 narrow strips of claims from the ROF South that are likely for railroad lines. They want the Ontario government to step in and control any infrastruture development that may take place. They put it as "you have heard of the wild west well this is the wild north and we need some controls". Also they claim the Ontario Wildlands League stopped the construction of an airport landing strip by Martin falls First Nation. The airport strip question was dealt with on this forum several days earlier.
The Government Minister Of Mines Michael Gravelle, who is from Thunder Bay, says he has not seen the Ontario Nature letter and will look into the issue.
This is where Noront's co-operation with area First Nations will pay off.
