I have read in many posts about people being disappointed with the NRs of late. Since November 30, Noront has released on average one news release per trading day.
As Cliff's made mention to in one of their NOT bashing NRs, Noront cannot hoard NRs in order to attract last minute fence sitters. Or at least they have to be very careful if they do.
The eyes of the Canadian mining world are on this very expensive swamp land called McFaulds (aka ROF) and you can be sure that since the backlash from Cliff's, Noront lawyers are working full time to review every step NOT takes going forward. This includes the release of news in a manner that appears as timely rather than strategic in light of a bidding war. You can be sure the regulators are keeping a close eye on everything coming out at the moment. Likely a lot more eyes than usual.
So with this all happening in the background, I personally think it has been great to see an average of a news release a day since a week ago Monday. Especially the ones that discussed the First Nations appointment (strategically huge) and the very high grade platinum group metals.
When this gong show is over, regardless of who wins, we will go back to getting our once to twice a month ration of news. In the meantime, I appreciate the bones being thrown our way by the NOT big dogs.
