My Final Thoughts Before...'The Week'

1. Prediction for fun. I am hopeful that there will be some serious NR's this week. Drill results in particular and I am expecting the aforesaid barn burner. I think Monday morning would be a great time for this. I wouldn't give Cliffs and FWR too much time respond at all and I would try to bury their legal team with maybe one or two curveballs so that they cannot effectively respond before the offer expires on the 11th.

2. I am amazed at the solidarity of some of the FWR shareholders. For their sake I hope choose either Cliffs or NOT. As a NOT shareholder I like Khareema's scenario. Get enough shares to control FWR and then put it out to pasture in the mid-term. If NOT does that and Cliffs goes away they will be left with perhaps a less desirable stock, and of course, their unwaivering support for all things FWR. You could probably build a mountain on top of that.

(NOTE* If you are a NOThead like me, don't forget to tender your FWR shares that many of us have...after Dec.11th is unknown)

3. If Cliffs were to get 66% - its gone forever. If Cliffs gets their sticky fingers on it how could it ever go to someone else, unless at a ridiculous premium? This is why I believe there must be some serious players in the background. I don't see Cliffs as a true major, but do see them as being a rather large nuisance to one. Let's call them rockblockers....

4. If the SP of NOT increases I am going to be very curious to see how that impacts the FWR price. The 'warrant' is a morphing part of the equation. As we get closer to $4 its value will become exponential. I'm not sure yet, but I may have to try and swap some shares around. So many variables depending on income taxes and ongoing SP changes.

5. The PP hold period is almost over. I hold several and will investigate in how best to take advantage of this. I'm hoping to sell the PP and buy regular so I may receive the tax benefit and set a new adjusted cost base going forward. I feel as though I can only write off the portion of my $$ that has been spent on exploration though....

6. I'm glad to see there is much trust, respect and admiration developing for the NOT team. They have been guilty until proven innocent by virtue of how they arrived at their current positions. Of course, they are here simply to do a job and make as much money as they can for themselves while doing it. I am continually impressed by how much they are progressing at such a rapid pace. Rest assured, if NOT is taken over I would expect them to look after themselves the same as Mac to a degree. I'm sure it's all part of the game...

7. Some really good speakers at the on-line mining conference. JF Tardiff - awesome. Congrats to Agoracom. I sense this is a sign of things to come. I bet this George guy has quite a vision for Agoracom going forward and all this PR related to juniors and probably much more going forward - his timing is looking good.

8. Taking a grain of salt, a pinch of conservatism, and a dash of realism. I still expect this week to be the most exciting of 2009 for NOT. While I expect the unexpected and I'm feeling pretty darn sure our SP is going to have a strong push in the upward direction.

9. In Canada we claim hockey as our national sport. As part of our culture we love to see a good, solid hockey fight. Incredibly it is also not only commonplace, but expected that when the fight is over and the game is over - we shake our opponents hand and commend them for their battle. There are many FWR posters who have gone to battle with the NOT posters. I suggest that when the dust settles, the shares are tendered and the game is over - that we commend them for their battle and welcome them on our team. Times are changing at the ROF and they will probably change in our little world 'on-line'. I just hope we can enjoy the blue sky up ahead as opposed to the dust storm that will be left behind.
