A Piddling New offer from Cliffs

posted on Dec 03, 2009 01:37PM

The new offer from Cliffs seems to me to be rather piddling. I'm starting to think that Cliffs is not really interested in FWR and that FWR is going cap in hand to Cliffs asking them for better offers (and paying them a couple of million more dollars break fee for the piddling new offer). Certainly the offer for FWR by Cliffs doesn't show much enthusiasm on the part of Cliffs.

By contrast, NOT's SP seems fairly strong today. I'm thinking that the market is saying that NOT might just pull it off (the takeover of FWR that is).

If NOT does pull it of, I agree with Wes Hanson that NOT will become an "international target". JMHO.
