DL, I don't think it's smug arrogance. I think it's more of writing up the news and not paying enough attention to timelines and actual state of the offers/deals (as per the horses mouth). I believe the message in the article was the US/CAN debate and our losing control of resources but as a couter argument, still gaining in reagrds to some economic factors (employment, infrastructure, etc.).

I also think that there are a number of people that are in or follow the industry who think Cliffs will get what they are after. We (I) may not agree with it or like it but it seems to be the view of some.
