There is always strategy in the timing of NR, especially during a merger. The fact that Mac says there is a third party looking at making a pitch for our target changes how we release news IMO. We do not know who this group is or their offer price. This unknown makes it worth playing it close to the vest.

However, I do understand what you are saying and I do believe NOT will release news soon as per JJ's email yesterday. We are getting close to crunch time and if this merger is to happen, we need to have the SP of both companies aligned. Today seems to be a step in that direction. The timing of a NR soon would be well calculated IMO.
