not having even one bar of cell coverage while expecting big time news...lol, between Hay River NT and High Level Ab. no cell coverage, had been watching the good ol crackberry for signs of real world connection, no luck, pounding the Avian water back like not tomorrow over distance feventually came time for some relief, so i look for a good place to pull over and it just so happens that i am near a telecom repeater tower, so i pull in onto the site and pull up next to the tower for a little relief and for the heck of it just as i reach for the Blackberry it starts beepin like crazy! An evil grin creaps across my face, oh yeah, there it is, the RBC Reuters alert on NOT, quick scroll down and what do my wondering eyes appear but a few lines of an agreement of sorts on the SRP. So now i'am both excited and confused, want to read more but that's all there is, just start getting about my business when out of the corner i see a black flash whipping behind the shack at the base of the tower, a great commotion, some squeling, some gurgling and out from behind the comm shack comes the most stunning, majestic Black Arctic Fox less than 15 ft. away from me prancing like a lipazazzer stallion all puffed up and proud. With this huge Black Raven firmly in mouth, he stopped, looked my direction, our eyes met, he smiled and for a second i could have swore i saw Wes's face on that Fox lol, he turned to go, looked back at me and then in the blink of an eye he was off like a fox bouncing thru the snow to enjoy his newly captured spoils. The crackberry beeped again bringing me back to reality, quickly zipped up and on the road with an hour and a half to wireless, arggg the ffrustation, the suspense. lol.
Am i the only one with this sickness, Jim Ballislie if you're reading this why not hook up with Sirius XM Sat radio and offer an advanced Crackberry with Sat comm. capabilities for all the real world travellers out there. I'am sure Herb could use one on his travels.
So then, we've(i say we've because i hold both) reached an agreement.
Good stuff, what's it all mean Basil???? Well to begin with, all of us fence sitters get a smidgin more time to consider, so does NOT so does FWR. It gives Mac time to shoe the horse that the White Knight will ride in on. It gives time for more accumulation of FWR shares, in hind site bet when they first wrote up the takeover release they could have made it 2-3 weeks longer to begin with but someone in the background probalbly kept pushing the short version we witnessed. The other thing that's happened, is the obvious advancement in the NOT freepress express train, have you googled Chromite lately, NOT/FWR are everywhere. It's great that the ROF is large and in charge in the news with respect to anything chrome, nickel and steel. Keep in mind that the FEDS and every department connected to development in the north are all working overtime planning for the future of the Ring. RHammer mentioned talk of a new town, heck RHammer you should have said we all had that figured out as a given a year ago, Nemisville I believe the term coined at the time. Good Stuff.
I see ArcelorMittal has committed to a new $5,000m steel mill in Brazil
I see freight rates are up 7 weeks bullish on Chinese 4 qrt. improvement.
Barrick is selling off some Tanzanai holdings to help fund future acquisitions
FNX has just stated that it has 414 million slated for potential acquisitions
Things are really starting to heat up.
Did i see Mr. Freidlands name mentioned today??? Hmmmmm?
How goes the new book Jackie, always thought that our darlin QQ would pen it. I should say, hoped.
Both Wes and Mac have got a whack of information sitting being collated. Glossed thru the forums, see that there were a few indiscretions on both boards, unfortunately but hopefully cooler heads will prevail going forward. Agoracoms got the reins.
We are without a doubt heading for much better times ahead, we have long waited for consolidation, unfortunately, little thought went into just who what when where and why and how we'd all feel about it, the shear scale of emotion here on the two forums was so thick you could cut it with a knife, i guess the last 5 weeks have been one hell of an exercise in mental stability. and Hoov's FA posts really help put light to the dark, Milsy's post is a reminder of time in space/the big picture, thanks guys. Drills, they are a turning, all this warm weather's not helping though, hard to freese up consistently, slows things down considerably.
You know i have to say that in light of the current state of affairs at the Ring, I'am comfortable, where i want to be right now with a group of companies with great properties with drills turning on Canada's newest Mining District.
Not to mention the most interesting comraderie of what i like to call "partners in kind" on the forums, each one of you are trying to keep ahead of the curve, always searching for the lead, the edge, the advantage, and sharing all the while.
Jeez, The lot of us'd make a great Hedge Fund lol.
There's been some wonderful posts of late and of course some not so wonderful, thanks to all who contributed, i've not had much of a chance to do so lately 5 daughters, wife and a biatch dog lol.
As readers and writers we've certainly written and read our share of thoughts and interpretations of our investment choices. Currently we are in a hold pattern, amid another great chapter in the Great ROF Book waiting for the next "big" move. This time on the road's really given me pause for thought about the amount of time we all put into the forums and why we do it, simply because we all love a great play with great stock and good social discussion regarding same.
Keep up the great work.
Some of my last posts entailed question of tonnage at BlackThor, the discrepancies, interpretations of scale.
The use of the term "25% Cutoff" is something we'd not seen in discussions surrounding either the benification or concentration of chromite. What role does this new term play in our undestanding of Chromite specifically that of Blackthor, Googled it and could not find reference to it specifically in the application of metalurgy of Chromite production, what's the reason for the now stated cutoff, is there an advantage or disadvantage to doing so, is there a chemical seperation process or the like specific to the 25%? perhaps Hoov could help with this, in layman's terms. If the 25% is of such significance to grade why not mention it way back then. I've not heard Noront mention it. If i have missed discussions on the 25% please forgive me my sin.
Thanks to all posters for keeping it real
Regards
Rob
PS...Cheers!
By the way, a little more on Mr. Arctic Fox , beautiful shiny black coat with a necklace of Black fur tipped with chrome. Truly Wild.
