I have been privileged to get to know Hoov personally since we met at PDAC in March.

What many on this board may not know is how unselfish Hoov is. He is the type of guy that would give you the shirt off his back while he was freezing to death.

Hoov is very intelligent and soaks in information like a sponge. He could easily be writing a blog and charging for subscriptions. Instead he shares info for free with those of us lucky enough to know him.

There is an old piece of wisdom that says "when you are arguing with an idiot make sure he/she is not doing the same". This is good way of saying...don't get dragged into an arguement with people who don't know any better.

I have tried to impart this piece of "wisdom" to Hoov on several occasions but he is so intent on providing good advice on this forum that he allows himself to get drawn into these unhealthy debates.

By allowing himself to waste endless hours writing lengthy responses on Agoracom, Hoov is playing into the hands of those that are opposed. They are taking advantage of his good nature. When Hoov makes these responses, the opposition knows they have pushed the right buttons.

Thanks to those that have come to Hoovs defence..and there are many. Unfortunately Hoov will be the one that will need to protect himself by refraining from these unhealthy lengthy engagements in the future.

The price we pay as we age/mature is that we lose some of our spontaneity over time. We casual observers on Agoracom will all be the losers as Hoov learns to adjust to this reality of life.
