Just to clarify one more time exactly what a Hub Leader is and what authorities a Hub Leader within Non Sponsored Investor Controlled Communities.
The overwhelming majority of Hub Leaders in this forum have earned their ranks. The way a Hub Leader earns their rank is based on activity (usually rounding out to 200 posts) and rating (they must have a rating of at least 3.7 to earn their rank). So AGORACOM has very little control - or had nothing to do with whom you as a community decided posts the most informative information to this Hub (five star rating system).
Sunlover50, as a president member, a pencil or edit button appears on nearly every page on this Hub (see photo and link libraries, company profile, fast facts). Hub Leaders have the same controls with the addition of a manage violations page. This empowers Hub Leaders to quickly remove abusive content, usually posted by new members who quickly flood the forum.
Hub Leaders are restricted to removing posts by Mail Room and Treasurer members only - in other words if you are a President or a Vice President member and a post of yours gets flagged as a violation, your post cannot be removed by any member within this Hub. There is no single Hub Leader with more authorities than another.
Now we understand that there are some difficulties in coordination and cooperation within this forum - and a growing number of members are expressing their discontent.
I feel that George said it best last week - we want you to congregate in a civil manner without the banter. This is neither censorship nor authoritarianism as I think most will agree our system extends 99% of this Hubs Editorial Content to you - the investment community.
However this does not mean that we will allow a small group of members disrupt the forum with personal inferences. Moving forward we won't allow the squabble to overrun some great posts which your peers put in a lot of thought and time into articulating.
As for any concerns regarding this forum, I challenge anyone to show me a single instance where assistance from AGORACOM staff was requested and you received nothing short of a personal and antentative message. Either myself or another AGORACOM admin is trained and looking forward to providing resolution to your inquiries.
