It was great to see everyone again at the AGM...we have a great group of people here.
I agree with everyone on here who have commented on the professionalism shown by Wes Hanson. He is starting to distinguish himself as a positive and refreshing addition to the Noront Executive team. Following is his list of goals and accomplishments for his first 100 days:
FIRST 100 DAYS
Tripled market cap;
Completed largest industry flow through financing in Canada
($25M);
Reduced corporate overhead by $750K per annum;
Refocused Noront:
Vision, Mission and Values;
Divested non‐core assets;
Hired young dedicated, modern management team;
Replaced explora<on excellence with development excellence;
Established modern financial and geological repor,ng
systems;
Focused explora,on on Ni, Cu, PGM Eagle’s Nest deposit;
Ini,ated consolida,on in the RoF re: Chromite assets;
Became members of the Chromite Industry re: ICDA
Established “One Version of the Truth”.
If you read it quickly it may look simple and just a continuation of work started by others. However if you think about each goal/accomplishemnt carefully it is evident that Wes has indeed started to turn Noront from a junior exploration company into a more professional advanced mining company.
I for one like the idea that he has taken steps to plug up the leaks by limiting the number of people on the inside that are privy to assay and drill results
The part that impresses me is that these are Wes's goals and Wes's accomplishments. Clearly he has been working very hard to make his mark on this company.
One gets the feeling that the next 100 days will see even more significant accomplishments with Wes at the helm.
As for my question to Wes about the FWR offer was out of line in that forum and I appologise for my gaff.
