" Irwin and Rosseau are the ones forcing this offer. "
I'd like to know how you know this for a fact? I question you because I believe that Wes is running the show now. From what I have seen since he came on as CEO things have changed. The company is run far more business like than before he took the CEO job. The two birds that most love to hate are not mentioned except by some who can't let them fade away.
There is far too much emotion on both boards. The heart is ruling the brain. It has to be the other way around. Both Wes and Mac know that at some point consolidation has to take place. I think we all know that. You are right about the chess game analogy. But now it is Mac's move. I'm waiting to see how he counters. I have no idea what he may come up with through this committee they have at FWR. None of you do either. The wild speculation is clouding otherwise reliable heads and once again producing too much clutter.
The best advice of the morning was from Irish. Check your weapons at the door as you enter the annual meeting. Wish I could be there. Looking forward to some cool headed analysis from it.
