Hey Berta......I realise that there is far more to it than financing, digging and selling.
I also get the jist of your point, that the present contracts and alliances in the steel and therefor chromite markets will stand, come hell or high water.
Two points I consider are #1) FWR does not plan on being a producer, so for them to worry about contracts is probably not their main concern. #2) Those alliances and long term contracts aren't as unbreakable as may seem. Huge battles involving WTO(World Trade Organisation) are going on continually regarding pricing, contracts, deals, tarrifs, and trade issues in general. My guess is that as the world goes thru these tumutuous economic times that we will see more 'adjusting' of trade and deals. I think Cliffs will be a huge help in this department.
I'm also wondering.... if chrome is a dicey product to sell, then what does NOT 'really' want with FWR? Is it something other than chrome?
well Berta.....hopefully we'll know sooner than later.....enjoy your coffee....I'm gonna' have ham and cheese on pumpernickel.
....cheers.....sambone
