There was an article from Mining Markets yesturday. One interesting point that I haven't seen talked about much was this quote
"Despite his contempt for Noront's offer, Watson suggested he would be interested in a straight cash deal for Freewest's chromite deposits but said he wants to keep Freewest and its Quest shares.
Watson says he would most likely dividend the cash from any such sale out to shareholders."
At the time of the deal, NOT was trading about $1.59 making the deal worth about $90 million. At $2.00, the deal becomes worth about $113 million....and at the price of the last flow through $2.80, the deal is worth a wopping $158 million. That's an extra $68 million.
So....here's the thought. Good news = increase in NOT's share price....back to $2.80 or higher. Another PP to raise $90 million in cash.....less dilutive at this stage then giving one share for four....make cash offer of about $90 million for just the McFaulds claimes
In the end....NOT gets control of all the McFaulds claims for $90 million....gives up less shares in the process.....FWR keeps all it's other properties and pays a nice dividend to current shareholders.....WIN/WIN
This may have already been suggested....I haven't read all the posts...if so, then I second it.
