If you'll notice, anytime the sp starts to move a little fast it meets with a modest suppression. Some would say that's just folks taking profits....and some would be...but the numbers of shares and the sequence and speed of executions indicates someone wants to keep the moves smooth and not too aggressive. Why? I can't say for sure, but it wouldn't surprise me to find that management would not like to see wild spikes to endure further raised eyebrows as to why they are spiking without news, particularly after a rather vicious dip for no apparent reason. Some might think that keeping the upward swing smoother also gives greater opportunity to buy in at lower sp's without influencing the market with purchases. Just my opinion. Notice BMO selling down to $2 in the last second of trading. I waited fully expecting this move from somewhere..... and there it was. Just a hunch that materialized. It will also be easier to get it below $2 first thing in the day before some optimistic buyers drive it too far above $2... a psych. zone.
