There is a number of investors and traders that are using with success TA, I don't believe in it. Believe in fundamentals is what works for me, most of the time, lol. In my opinion there are good chances that TA could be useful but it is mostly (only) thanks to the many adepts of this kind of trading. When large number of shares are going in or out on signals it could be because many investors play the same pattern. It could be predictable and maybe, that is the reason for its existence. It could facilitate control of the stock price to some extent. I don't think junior expl. co. can be played by TA, there is too many unpredictable situations, (NR announcing 60 metres of 3% Ni or a mine flood, use your imagination), to rely on some "head and shoulders or a tea cup" formation.
