I'm an Eagles fan what can I say? Even though it's preseason I can't focus on NOT for the first time in weeks. Probably a good thing. A watched pot never boils.

First of all, Wes Hanson is one hell of a BIG DUDE. If the mine is anywhere near big as he is, we are set for life!

Solid vibe in the reception area - all business. Introduced myself to a couple of us here on the hub, and had some good chats - thanks to them for keeping me occupied as I came solo and knew nobody. It was something to see all of the suits meshing with the randomness of the retail investors. I could have drawn circles around the groups and placed decent money on who was what.

Long story short - I was very impressed with Wes Hanson. If I took anything out of this meeting it was that he carried himself as the kind of man who could pull this thing off. He is focused on integrity, treating people with respect, and getting the job done. I've found it hard to find much info on Wes via the web, but I'm now a fan.

Now...one thing. I kind of sensed their might be some frustration there with Wes' tone during the QnA with the retail shareholders. Quite honestly I think he was trying to send US a message today in regards to the fair and immediate release of all corporate information. I know we are not there yet, but I cannot imagine Aaron Regent of Barrick taking time to field questions from minor shareholders -but I hope that we are not too far off! You can only poke a sleepy bear so many times before it will swipe back. Let's not poke too often please. Like I said he's a big man. You don't want him swiping back at us, it could really hurt.
