Thank you all for getting in touch with us and for sharing your insights. These have been invaluable in determining our course of action and for the greater part we feel that the community has been served.

Old Joe your post responding to QQ's "SPECIAL MEETING" thread was moved to the off topic forum. A dear member of our staff determined the thread to be off topic and moved the original post by Jacki79 and any subsequent responses to the off topic forum. Upon review, I have moved it back to the main discussion forum and I apologize for the confusion. In the future, please do not hesitate to bring this to my attention, if only to keep the board from being flooded by a series of questions and responses which should concern members of AGORACOM administration.

Now I do wish to clarify a few things about our violation tool as I am certain that plenty of our senior members have seen an influx of flagged messages over the past few weeks. As you know, when a message is flagged as a violation an admin is alerted via email that a post has been flagged and is pending review. Hub Leaders can review these requests by visiting this link.

It's clear that the number of posts flagged as violations does not represent the number of malcontent behavior on the site. We also wish to clarify, that whenever a violation rules is ignored, unless an ADMIN overides our system (which we do), our system NEGATIVELY credits the reporters profile; in other words each time an AGORACOM user reports a message as a violation, and unless an Admin waives the negative credit, you will loose 1 activity point.

Before we get all rowdy, I would like to assure each and everyone here that 98% of the times, you will not loose the activity point as we are full and well aware that you are simply trying to help us keep our forums clean. However given the frequency of flagged posts/actual violations ratio as of late, we have stopped overiding our system for certain members.

Lastly, if anyone has received a warning from "violations@agoracom.com", even though your post is A) neither a violation or B) remains published, please note that the violation rules have been ignored and will not count against your profile. These are automatically generated whenever a user selects the "warn" option from the violations menu.
