First, welcome aboard NOT.
You should know that right now, our CEO, CFO and one of our main directors, Joe Hamilton are in South Africa speaking to major chromium producers. We have had a major NR and announced a PP in the last 3 days. Joanne is basically alone to answer to everyone including large investment houses and retail shareholders, some of whom have followed this story for years.
Hole 49 was a very significant hole that has completly altered the 2009 drilling plan. We currently had 3 drills with capacities to drill to 1200 meters. One was at Eagle 1, one was 12 km to the NE at AT12 and the other was 70km to the NW drilling on one of our JVs. The 2 drills away from Eagle 1 were pulled away from their current drill plan and brought to Eagle 1. A deep drill with capacity to 3000 meters (maybe more than 1) is on site now at Eagle and it (they) are either drilling already or are being assembled and will be drilling soon.
So when a company like Noront hits such a huge hole as hole 49 and re-organises all their drills and drill plan to focus on Eagle 1, it would be very difficult to give anyone a drill plan for 2009-at this point, obviously everything is very fluid and can change on a moments notice.
The fact that you are a new, small retail shareholder asking questions that cannot be answered, especially when she is alone at IR, her time will be short. If you have problems understanding this, there is not much any of us can do for you. I suggest you sit back and educate yourself on this great company and contribute to the knowledge base when you can.
Welcome aboard,
Glorieux
