If you look at the APA presentation and their Technical Report (ref. in my previous posting) there is another striking (but not surprising) similarity:
just wondered, which reference they were quoting for their Vanadium deposit (geologically) :
Bushveld in South Africa !
The Lake Doré Complex is a Bushveld-type Archean layered mafic intrusion (
Allard, 1976) located some 250 km due east of Matagami in the Chibougamau mining camp.
About 39.5% of total world vanadium production (55 700 t in 2006 (
USGS, 2006)) comes from the Bushveld Complex. The Fe-Ti-V oxide ores form concordant layers varying from 0.1 to 10 m in thickness.
I think, the RoF is becoming more and more a Bushveld-type scenario, which certainly wouldn´t be a bad situation.
Just look at the different types of minerals being found in both complexes:
1. PGE
2. Chrome
3. Nickel
4. Vanadium
etc.
