I am of the opposite opinion regarding timing of news release. I think that friday morning before market opens would be an ideal time. Minimum time before opening that would not involve a halt. Mid morning with a halt is my second choice.

I say ideal in that the news would generate panic buying during the day, then there would be digestion through the weekend and more sobber buying on following monday with consolidation for the following week.

I just like the shock treatment to be applied. Nothing better than a shorter needing dipers and driving the price higher than it otherwise would have.

It is also justice.
