TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 1, 1996-- GOLDEN TRUMP RESOURC (VSE See DOS/VSE.
(VSE:NOT.) GOLDEN TRUMP RESOURCES LTD. ("Golden Trump") and NORONT RESOURCES LTD. ("Noront") are pleased to announce preliminary results from diamond drill holes 96-5 through 96-10 inclusive at the Okak Bay "2381" (Noront "NOT Number 3") property located 80 km north of Voisey Bay, Labrador. Golden Trump and Noront each hold a 50 percent interest in the property.
As announced September 16, 1996 four diamond drill holes, holes 96-5 through 96-8 inclusive, targeted coincident Max-Min and pulse EM anomalies. This follow-up four hole drill program was completed on Saturday September 28. A plan location map of diamond drilling Diamond Drilling is a highly specialized industry used for mineral exploration around the world. Hole 96-5, drilled vertically, was collared 100 meters grid south of hole 2 and 150 meters west of hole 4. Hole 96-5 intersected a 0.30 m section at 37.8 m of massive and net textured pyrrhotite which is interpreted as the Zone A target interval.
Hole 96-6, drilled vertically, was collared 100 meters grid north The northerly or zero direction indicated by the grid datum of directional reference.

This hole intersected a 2.62 m section of massive and net textured pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite between 19.2 m to 21.82 m which is interpreted to represent the Zone A anomaly. The massive section is 0.30 m thick and is situated at the base of the interval.
Hole 96-7, drilled vertically, was collared 25 meters grid west of hole 2. The hole intersected 26.5 meters of granite at the level of the expected Zone A interval.
Hole 96-8 was drilled at an 85 degree angle towards grid west, and collared 25 meters grid west of hole 4. The hole was designed to test the "Zone C" deep pulse EM anomaly detected from surveying in hole 3. The Zone A anomaly was not represented by significant sulphide mineralization
Hole 96-8 intersected granite from 160 m to 373 m where the Zone C anomaly was expected. The very strong pulse EM anomaly remains unsourced.
An extension to the existing diamond drill permit covering one collar location west of the area of drilling to date was received Friday September 27. The area includes a coincident magnetic, VLF-EM, and pulse EM anomaly.
Two diamond drill holes have been drilled from one collar location located approximately 500 meters west of hole 8 (not shown on the attached plan map). Hole 96-9 was drilled at a -45 degree angle toward grid west. The hold intersected an ultramafic
) hosting a 2.2 meter interval at 44.8 m containing disseminated pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite including a 0.35 m interval at the base of this interval of net textured sulphide. Hole 96-10, drilled vertically from the same set-up, intersected several narrow 0.2 m wide zones of disseminated and net textured sulphide within pyroxenite which may correlate with the hole 96-9 intersection.
Hole 96-8 was surveyed with downhole pulse EM equipment. Infill surface pulse EM surveying was conducted in the region of holes 96-1 to 96-8 to attempt to better define the disposition of Zone A sulphides. Pulse EM surveying was also conducted over the magnetic high area in the region of holes 96-9 and 96-10. Results are pending and are intended to guide further drilling phases.
The phase I and II diamond drilling programs are complete and the diamond drill will be demobilized from the property shortly. Samples collected for assay from holes 96-5 through 96-8 inclusive were submitted to the assay lab today and results are expected within 10 days. Samples collected from holes 96-9 and 96-10 will be submitted to the assay lab as soon as weather permits. Assay results will be reported when received. -0- ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS GOLDEN TRUMP RESOURCES LTD. Nareh Majithia Director
