the recent price action in noront tells me that we are going to get news, we are going to get it soon, and it is going to be good. i won't speculate as to what it will be, but 15-20 million shares don't trade based just on rumors or momentum trading. the move in the last two days has reminded me of aurelian just before its huge news release. after a looooong dormant period, that stock suddenly started climbing day after day on no news. then the news was released, and the rest is history. i am not comparing noront to aurelian, only that this run up can only be based on discovery.

as far as the area plays are concerned, those add risk where it may not be justified. a company like fancamp has already had a huge run, and it may have something to do with the discovery, or it may be a study in "nearology," i.e. the science of investing in an area play because it is near the company that actually has the goods. this is not to denigrate fnc or any of the other area plays, but the safest way to play this is to hold noront. if/when serious money flows into the rof, it should go into noront first. institutional investors will not be able to take a huge position in fnc without driving up the price by several multiples. more than likely, they will invest in a stock like not, that has the liquidity to absorb their funds.

the only thing i am certain of is that there is huge volatility ahead, with big days up and down, so we should all expect a wild ride in the days and weeks ahead, but that will be a lot more exciting than the past several months have been. glta.
