Over the past two years whenever I have made the trek to the closest branch office to deposit money, I give them a check, the annotate in the system, and I can immediately make trades on that deposit.

Last week, after much deliberation, I decided the time was right to go in and lower my average on NOT, I had calculated what I would need to lower my average down to $2 and planned on doing so. I deposit the checks and low and behold they inform me the checks need 6 days to clear, which was never an issue in the past. I was peeved, but oh well, what was I going to do?

I tried to execute trades Monday and Tuesday and both times was told, "Insufficient Funds blah blah blah.." So yesterday I log on to find the money had cleared and go to place a trade and about fell over when the price was +60%. Talk about a raw deal, is anybody else having that kind of year so far, nothing seems to fall the right way?

Lucky I guess to some small degree for me my stink bid got filled on the opening drop on the american exhanges, and I guess a year or two from now it won't really matter that I bought at .80 instead of .58 but it still hurts a little bit today.
