I haven't posted in a while. I'm long timer. I was in before the Eagle 1 discovery. Saw my investment go from $6700 to $70,000, but I never sold. Why would I sell at the top when they had only drilled one hole! Who would have thought Eagle 1 would be 1 and done? Unbelievable. In hindsight (always 20-20), I should have put a stop at $5.
I'm not a base metal guy. I was in Noront for Windfall. I still own it, because I know that worst case it is worth about .30 cents. So the downside is pretty low. And all they need is one more nickel find and it is back to $5.
The one thing I don't like about this site is that we are only supposed to write about Noront. There are so many bright investors here and all we talk about is Noront. I wish they would drop that rule.
The U.S. economy is not coming back. We have used foreign debt to finance our economy for 30 years, and that is no longer possible. The U.S. economy's capacity to carry our debt load has been exceeded, thus making the economy insolvent. This will take a couple of years to play out, but it's only downhill from here until the U.S. Govt declares bankruptcy. I hope I'm wrong and Obama pulls a rabbit out of his hat and saves the day. But I don't see that happening.
Now consider the ramifications. The U.S. economy is by far the biggest economy in the world. The debt leverage that exists is already unwinding (selloffs of unprofitable investments) and will continue. This is going to create repercussions. Can you say turbulence? Soon the dollar will tumble and gold and silver will rise. This is easy to deduce.
So, where to be? Gold and Silver producers are going to shine. We're talking about an investment opportunity of a lifetime. Many of the junior producers are going to go up 10X or more. Well, if they don't I will be very surprised.
