Catherine is a research analyst covering large to small cap, precious and base metal mining companies for more than twenty years. She has held positions with several leading Canadian brokerage firms including UBS Securities, RBC Capital Markets, Merrill Lynch Canada and most recently Wellington West Capital Markets. Catherine is a frequent chairperson and speaker at mining industry conferences and she has been consistently well ranked in annual industry surveys. Her work on the Canadian Diamonds industry was published in the Handbook of Canadian Security Analysis Volume II. She worked as an exploration geologist for Barrick Gold Corporation, the world’s largest global gold producer, upon graduation with an Honours B.Sc. Geology degree from McMaster University. Catherine is Past President of the Mineral Resources Analyst Group, and a member of the CFA Institute, Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada and the Canadian Securities Administrators’ Mining Technical Advisory and Monitoring Committee.
