This has bothered me as well and the best I can come up with is that, they haven't done enough drilling at depth to say there isn't anything there. Ditto for open to South.

In fact it means 'they don't know' but you have to figure, or at least the market does, that they have a pretty good idea not much could be there or they'd have drilled it to find out.
