This is true except for cross sells and the like where the sp can be dropped intentionally and a partner benefits from cheaper shares and walking the sp down. Then it is both buying and the bid being hit at the same time ..... manipulation in other words. I watched it today with Tck.b. It was a classic day trading play which has been going on for weeks now on that stock. There isn't much that is truly simple in the market. Someone is always looking for an edge and they take it any way they can get it. Massive dumping and then surprise.... it winds up green as it comes out of a spiral. It would look scary to many and cause some bailing. I would submit that a few nervous NOTers were spooked today as per plan.
