If only John was correct, sigh, Noront's share price would have soared.

There have been no costing figures for extraction/upgrading and shipping to ocean port so at this point one can't say this is an 'economic' deposit. Long way to go yet even if metallugical work points to favourable and not very complicated processing.

My opinion is that it is unlikely upgraded chromite ore will be shipped for processing into ferrochrome by the likes of China. Too much money to be made by futher processing of upgraded ore into higher value steel in Canada or USA.

You can assume Cliffs and others are running numbers and have an idea of the cost of ore extraction/upgrading and infrastructure/transport costs, as well as the size/grade of orebody required to support this for many years. They sure won't tell us what their conclusions are but watch things heat up fast once exploration produces the results they need to prove 'Economically feasible'.
