I have enjoyed the posts of all those involved in the circumstances of late. I have regularly looked forward to their insights even though I didn't necessarily always relate to them. They have been valued individuals on this site. At some point in time these people may remember why this place in cyber space occupied them and filter out the noise that keeps them from continued participation.
The reasons, to name a few, for our being here are the pursuit of information regarding NOT in order to enhance our decision making, to share what we know to enhance the well-being of our community and to find in all of this, something that brings greater meaning and richness to our lives. It is not a perfect place and not all motives are pure for any of us. In spite of it's imperfections it is perfectly human, full of egos, oddities and opposing opinions and yes....the great potential for dishonesty. None of the lesser changes the overwhelmingly important contributions that posters on this site have offered to the general good. This is a most unusual site with a very close knit group of people, no doubt unlike any cyber group has become, neither in ones and zeros nor in the flesh as our members have. There is a price to be paid for such closeness when situations become tense. It is not to say that important points haven't been raised or that issues shouldn't be addressed. It is important though not to allow these issues to preclude what is important, to throw the baby out with the bathwater, to sacrifice what is important for what is ultimately unimportant or not a battle worth choosing. These are simply my opinions. Obviously we will all decide for ourselves what we want to believe, think and say.
