Great Day to you folks, been on a very long but enjoyable road trip today and it afforded my with an opportunity to have a little "ME" time to put some perspective into my investment in Noront Resources Ltd.
Been thinking alot about the infrastructure needed to get our product to market should we get to that point( which i hope we do ) and the road design keeps coming up front as being so very strategic to the Northern Ring of Fire prospects.
There has been mention both here and in the Corp presentations that the two crossings will be dealt with by implementation of Ferry and Ice Road Crossings and there was discussion as to the capacity of Ferry types. The following pics show a typical Ferry/ICE Crossing on the Peace River, this crossing is of similar distance to that of our two rivers which need to be bridged. The Ferry in the pics is the "LaCrete", a 95 ton capacity, twin hull beauty i've had the fortune of boarding many times, lol. This girl will take 2 Btrains and several cars and trucks at the same time and would easily take a couple ore haulers together.
Included below are a few pics of the actual crossing as it was an hour ago AB time. the crossings currently rated at 65 tons capacity, the norm for this crossing and i imagine our two new crossings will fall into that range depending of course on air and water temps. The sooner we can get permitted to start blasting to make road bed the better.
I would hope that the geophysics, environmental and logistics would already be underway by select individual consultants and sure hope surveying is'nt far behind! Hope you all enjoy a look at these, sure most have done a crossing like this but for the few which have'nt, enjoy. Great to be green again! Look close and you can see the Flood team at work. Cheers
