That's the name of the company that I have invested a lot of my money in. That is the owner of the property that has all the minerals. Noront is the entity that I am looking to first of all get me back to break even and then help me retire. I don't think we should lose sight of that. Agoracom is a company where I have invested a lot of my time. Agoracom is a chatroom that I hang out in and exchange information with my investment friends, a vehicle that is used by George and other owners to make money. They make money by selling the idea of online exposure, promotion, getting PR's out directly to investors and creating hype. In fact they are the only ones making money at present. I mean no disresect here George. We retail investors are a large contributor by getting info out there and also buying shares. I am sure we are helped along by company insiders who post to get us going. I have shares in seven other companies that are on Agoracom but this is by far the largest and most prolific site. I can understand George being upset with losing this "poster company" as it represents more than one seventieth of his revenue.
However, I cannot understand how this change in PR strategy is detrimental to the fundamentals of my investment in Noront. If they put out a PR on a new hole with 150m of 7% nickel, all this talk of ousting the BOD would vanish. Even if we got rid of the new BOD, who would propose the newer BOD? If they hire on a new CEO, how will we get rid of him because surely he/she won't do if Paul/Joe had anything to do with it. I have great faith in the management team of Neil Novak, Harvey, Mungal, Chance etc. With an exploration company, they are doing the real work, picking the locations, interpreting the geology, logging the core. They are the company just as much as the BOD is. And don't forget the largest shareholder of all. Sorry guys and gals, I am still naive enough to state that I invested in Noront the exploration company because of it's potential. I royally screwed up by not selling at six to seven bucks but I got a sense of what the company was worth at that time and I believe it is worth a lot more than that when we get out of this foolish recession.
