Don,

It's my impression that a good IR person will seek to control what all information made available to the public. That’s their job. It does not matter who in the company is talking to the public. All information must be controlled if you intend to build an image for the company. This is especially true if the IR person is present for the event. I have attended many trade shows in my lifetime and you quickly learn to consult with IR on many discussions regarding the company. I'm sure that all who manned the booth at PDAC for NOT sat down for a strategy meeting before the event.

It's the norm at many trade shows to have the big players brush off the little guys attending the show. On the other hand, if you are a big player meeting a big player then they take you to a private place. I believe NOT is acting like a big player. This is how they want to be perceived by those that matter in the mining world. IMHO Joanne probably looks at Agoracom as a game for the little guys. We represent and aspect of IR that can't be easily controlled and this game is all about information control.

I don't believe Joanne J. is having her strings pulled by someone from above. She has a great position with a potential up and coming mining superstar and she wants to make an impression. Her role is to manage IR for Noront. At the end of the day her performance, as the Noront IR person, will be measured against the quality of the relationship Noront shares with the industry.
