Recall that Blackbird 1 happened at about the same time as did Eagle 2.

And the Old BoD were very quick to pick up on the far greater significance of the Blackbirds.

Consequently, the Old BoD correctly did some follow up on Eagle 2 and found that the Blackbirds deserved far greater attention to detail, immediately.

Eagle 2 is STILL THERE but has diminished in RELATIVE IMPORTANCE, for the time being, ONLY due to the far greater IMPORTANCE presented with the Signifance of HAVING the Balckbirds.
