I have pondered for some time the positions Paul and Joseph were put into after a proxy battle that likely was news throughout the investment world. A proxy battle that through no fault of theirs, put them into the rosy position of CEO's in a company that has been promising "Large" since September 2007.
What would I feel like after I have to fill the shoes of Mr Nemis, the man who discovered this anomoly having great value and potential. I would be thinking that the man must be tandamont to a "God" to his investors. So what does that make me, taking over from such a wonderous man. Chopped liver.....maybe less??!!
Lets face it..no one likes a successful miner to leave the business he ran for the sake of investors who found him to overzealous in his predictions. To be honest most of what RN said was very general at best. "Want to make another million?? Buy more shares.." What does that say that is overzealous??? Any CEO would say the same thing. Richard wowed people with his attitude and the service he tried to provide his shareholders..all of them.
If I were Paul and Joseph I would take that under my wing as being a very professional way to attract new investors and keep the fold of investors he has under their wing. These guys have a tough act to follow and I for one have a lot of respect for them trying to take over in such disparging times.
I, for the record, do not want anyone to think I am bashing these CEO's. I am as anyone in any business with new ownership...trying to get a comfort level where I can "trust" and feel that my business requirements are being considered by the person(s) who are supposedly working for me. This comfort level only comes with the experience of actions taken and its for each one of us to determine the quality of work we are getting from our management team as time progresses.
I hope that we all can take a moment and breath. After that count to ten and exhale. This market is making a shambles of many small companies. Perhaps having nothing much happening right now is good news as the results of any excellent finding will likely go unnoticed or will only affect us to a minor positive degree.
Lets let the BOD do their jobs and our trust will grow with them over the next year or two. It is definately unfair to judge based on current performance. I don't want anyone to think I don't want to give them their chance. Its just that time frame where the trust builds. We need it and I hope actions taken will bring us closer to the BOD. Maybe we could adopt them into the fold for a bit. I'm sure they would rather work with us thant against us. Nothing counterproductive about that scenerio now is there??!!
Have a great weekend all.
