In the community of Souix Lookout Buchanen has an arrangement up there for logging.

They have a ferry that crosses a bay at Lac Sueol hauling the logging trucks. My brother was the operator for some time up there. The trip is perhaps a half a Km but impotant. Without it the trucks would be required to drive a bush road around the bay which could take half a day to get around.
