"Several drill holes intersected massive chromitite mineralization. The layers vary widely in thickness, from centimetres on the margins of the Blackbird One deposit to continuous massive chromitite intersections approaching true thicknesses of 30 metres at its central axis. The mineralization is thickest along an axis plunging steeply to the northwest from a near-surface expression near the southeast extremity of the drill pattern. To the southwest of this axis the mineralization thins rapidly to nothing; along the northeast side there are insufficient data to tell the shape of the body at the time of writing."
The above is a statement from the Technical report and 43-101 report Noront published on Dec. 10. It states that the orebody plunges steeply from a near surface expression. I am somewhat confused that Mr. Hoy of FWR in his conversation with J Defur would say that NOT's chromite began 350m below the surface. The technical report does estimate that the chromite is estimated to be as deep as 500m but if that starts at surface at some point as written above, than the deposit is a large one with exceptional grades. I am also disappointed and wondering why Mr. Novak while speaking to JD from his Noront office did not take the opportunity to talk about NOT's chromite deposits since they have recently made it public that they were focusing on chromite. Instead, all that was discussed was SPQ. Strange behaviour indeed.
