The Menarik property is recognized for its Chromite resources while also hosting many poly-metallic showings. In March 2006, Roche Consultants (Quebec City) calculated NI 43-101 compliant Chromite resources on four (4) of these showings totalling more than 5.3 million measured and indicated tons with an average grade of 7.84% Cr203.
During the Spring of 2007, Pro-Or completed 20 exploration diamond drill holes totalling 4,000 meters. This was undertaken to assess three showings that were at remote from the previously drilled Chromite showings, a Copper-Nickel showing discovered in 1997, and a Nickel mineralized zone found during the December 2006 drilling campaign. The 1997 Nickel showing returned UltraMafic altered zones grading over 49.7 meters at an average of 0.38% Ni and 0.28% Cu, including a 16.1 meter intersection grading 0.65% Ni and 0.41% Cu followed by 2.64 m at 0.23% Ni and 0.98% Cu. As fas as the Chromite indices and the 2006 Nickel intersection, they resulted in the discovery of 21 Chromiferous, 4 Palladium and 18 Cu-Ni zones, with intersections garding 9.29% Cr203over 10.6 meters and 0.30% Ni over 10.5 meters. The drilling results are being analysed as part of the preparation of a technical Report.
In November and December 2007, a 22 holes 4,905 meters drilling campaign was completed. The purpose of this phase was to test 5 Chromite showings remotely located from the known showings, as well as a Ni-Pd showing discovered during the Spring of 2007 and a MAG conductor found during a 1996 airborne geophysical survey. 45 Chromiferous, 15 Palladium and 37 Ni-Cu zones were intersected, such as 0.27% Ni over 17.7 m, 24.43% Cr203over 4.15 m, 6.68% Cr203 over 16 meters, 9.15% Cr203over 8.05 m, 12.01% Cr203 over 5.6 m, 19.10% Cr203 over 4.3 m, 4.73% Cr203 over 29.5 m, 4.11% Cr203over 73.1 m, 12.45% Cr203 over 15.9 m, 7.58% Cr203 over 7.3 m, 10.62% Cr203 over 16.5 m and 15.40% Cr203over 14.3 m.
