This process is NOT about processing Chromite as much as it is about getting PGM out of ore and tailings that have more than 2 or 3% Nickel Content. They need those valuable PGMs to make it pay. Note there is no mention at all about this being a better way to process for Chromium alone.

Still it's interesting and was posted some time ago as of particular interest for those ROF chromite deposits with PGMs.
