It seems the key to these deposits being economic is the PGM's as Chromite is almost a byproduct. With the current price of PGM's and less demand for auto catalyst use a lot of these deposits are likely uneconomic.

Different story here in ROF where the Chromite alone appears of quality and quantity to be economic on it's own.
