Drilling through the throat... seems like a good idea. but the hole won't contribute to the inferred/proven resources because the angle is different compared to the other holes? (i can imagine something like this...)... and the metals arent running away, so they stick to the plan...



this is my guess. I'd rather have a company stick to a consistant plan, predictable. Then do wild holes here and there... though the wild hole will be fantastic, it'll be misleading too
