Here is my best effort for the nickel price change since Dec. 31, 2008: it went down by 6%.

According to Kitco.com, the 30-day spot nickel price on Dec 31, 2007 was US$5.17.

On Janurary 16, 2009 it was US$4.84.

That was a drop of 33 cents or minus 6%.

So, my conclusion stands. The run-up this year in NOT.V's price (and others) is mainly due to a growing recognition in the marketplace of the reality and importance of the ROF chromite discoveries.

NOT.V's Black Birds are beginning to shed their "Black Swan" feathers.
