There has been much speculation about the cause of the SV halt being nothing about the ROF to being all about the ROF and while SV have many irons in the fire so to speak I am leaning towards the former as to why the halt. (I could be wrong, but hear me out.) I have tried contacting SV, Paul Gorman, to no success, so I focus on the NR from just two months ago (Oct 27th) and cannot help but think that the SV halt is more about drilling success they had on some high priorority targets at ROF. Why do I think this way?

1. What has SV been up to? "Southampton Ventures Inc. (TSX-V:SV) ("Southampton") is pleased to announce the commencement of a 600 metre drill program" Remember it was two months ago...

2. On What? "two high priority VTEM geophysical targets on the Moonbeam Property" Sounds very good to me.

3. Ok, but what is the target? "the Moonbeam property is focused on locating magmatic Ni-Cu-PGE and other Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide, (VMS) base metal occurrences." I would love nothing better then for them to find a massive Nickel discovery as it would be good for all ROF plays. Yes and for BMK which is next to the SV-NOT JV properties if true, and a reason as to why BMK experienced big time volume when this story began to unfold.

4. Why would that be a benefit to NOT or other ROF? "the Moonbeam Property, a Southampton – Noront Resources (TSX-V : NOT) Joint Venture Option on 12 claim blocks (6720 acres) to explore and develop the mineral-rich property in the McFauld’s Lake ‘Ring of Fire,’ 25 kilometres Northeast of the Eagle One Discovery." If there is a discovery anywhere close to NOT's E1 (and I am not saying that) then look up and I will call rusty.

5. Yah, but what has the CEO of SV, Paul Gorman said about this project: "We are extremely encouraged by our geophysical data and we look forward to launching this drill program on the high priority targets, located on the south-east part of the property" said Paul Gorman, President and CEO. "

Now, I could be totally wrong and the reason for the SV halt is something to do about the other projects they have on the go, but I could be right! If I am right then hopefully this is the re-launch of the ROF plays similar to Oct - Nov 2007 and I do not have to tell you what happened then. This is exciting, but at the same time it has the potential to be a big disappointment so stay level and balanced and wait with anticipation as to why the purpose of the halt. Lets hope it is about ROF! If not then this post will self distruct in 10 seconds after the NR...LOL.
