I like the optimism and I really need a boost to my portfolio hopefully courtesy of NOT, FWR et al, however, all of those folks who rode NOT and others down to the ground, due to the inability to recognize the greater trend, need to guard against being hit by the same circumstances again. Any gains one accrues over the next while can just as easily be wiped out if vigilance is not maintained. If you can remember the following statements, just to cite a few, then you should be able to relate.

"China and India will do well in spite of the US debacle because of their terrific growth. They will exist in their own bubble thus a recession shouldn't impact them."

"Commodities are safe and should experience their own bubble because they will always be needed. China and India will continue to have high demand for them."

"Assays will be out soon and then we'll rocket to the moon."

No one knows what tomorrow will bring though we try and hedge our bets on the best information available. We can, however, make sure that eyes are wide open and that we take the best possible actions appropriate to a given situation.
