some point over this past week you transferred 10,000 NOT shares from
your regular account into your new TFSA, you are no better off than if
you made that transfer today."

Firstly you couldn't transfer 10k of NOT shares unless it was at .50 as this would be over your $5k limit. However transferring $5k worth of NOT shares at the present sp is still a good idea if you are expecting it to well exceed your entry point as it will then be tax free gravy. You have to ascertain what you think your claw back in taxes would be verses NOT potential in your TFSA.
