Thanks very much for the reply. So as an example if you have 15000 shares of NOT and put 7500 in to a TFSA then you cannot claim a loss on the 7500 share transfer into the TFSA but the loss on the transfer would apply to any sale of the remaining 7500 shares or offset any gain made on those shares. Am I reading that right? Thanks again.
